This building can be found in one of Berlin’s »historical« areas, situated between the two cathedrals Französischer Dom and Deutscher Dom. Light, fabrics and colours have been used to echo the opulent architecture of the square, and thrown into contrast with »pure« clear natural stone, glass and metal. The result is a sensuous, dramatic connection between materiality and the perception of light, which becomes an experience in itself.
A contemporary and joyful design square in the midst of an open, pulsating city.
