Seaplane terminal „Dawntown Miami“

Miami, USA

Taken by the wind, soap bubbles stranded on Watson Island‘s dune, forming Miami‘s new seaplane terminal and intervening with the already existing. Miami is given a new site, a new landmark, a new entry into architectural heaven that brings passengers from the sunshine state directly into the Caribbean sunshine. Those light constructed energy bubbles are held together by a large scale fishing net reflecting the marine atmosphere. Buildings form the environment people live with, work and relax but they also define free space for city life. Thus we aim for buildings that provide a healthy environment, minimize the consumption of energy and water and have a minimal carbon dioxide footprint.
