Residential quarter Spitalhöhe

Not far from downtown Rottweil, blocher partners is busy designing part of the residential district »Spitalhöhe«, gearing everything to the principle of sustainability. The concept envisages three buildings with roughly 35 residential units in an innovative hybrid design – and promptly won the first prize in the competition for the construction of the quarter.
The steel-and concrete structure is clad with a façade of vertical wooden slats with integrated heat insulation, while there are photovoltaic systems on the greened flat roof. This sustainable approach combined with the high recreational value that stems from an attractive, nature-friendly design of outdoor space appeals equally to single people and couples, but also to families and senior citizens.
