The built project is located in Bernau nearby Berlin, a small town northeast of Berlin. Embedded in a lowered site, the building manages to interact sensitively with the existing trees and water-landscaping thanks to its particular form and in spite of its great dimensions.
Each unit features generous windows to allow the residents unobstructed views to the park, taking reduced physical mobility into account. Elegant wooden sliding shutters help control natural lighting, whilst still allowing visual connection with the surroundings.
The sliding elements on the windows provide a vivid and playful appearance to the façade in spite of the rigorous and logical disposition of the openings.
The interiors were designed to generate a pleasant and inspiring atmosphere. Working with lighting and a warm material and color palette, it was possible to generate a homely feeling and easyto-navigate spaces.
