Poissy Galore
Carrières-sous-Poissy, Paris, France
The series of buildings and pavilions are part of a new 113 hectare large public green space along the Seine river. The steel structure of the Observatory establishes a powerful presence and creates stunning viewpoints to the natural setting and the adjacent lake. The Insects Museum and Visitor Center is atypical in its abstraction - by focusing on light, shape and materials, the architects distilled the essence of the intricate condition of a museum, resulting in a building settled naturally in the landscape.
