The Grand Village Weissenhaus Hotel and Spa is the result of the conversion of a historic estate that was carried out over the course of many years and with the greatest of care. A large number of planning offices were involved.
Most of the three dozen historic structures on the landscaped estate, extending over 75 hectares, were built in the early 17th century. In the course of several construction phases beginning in 2005, approximately one third of the buildings, including the Castle, were restored in line with historic preservation principles and incorporated in the hotel operations to fulfil various functions.

The Spa building – taken over by Büro Korb as a building shell in August 2013 – and the Stable, along with the so-called Gatehouse, the Cavalier House and the large barn with its thatched roof, compose the generous setting around the spacious park in front of Schloss Weissenhaus. Together with the Castle, they form a sizable ensemble of simple harmony and beauty.
The spa area consists of the historically listed postal station and a new section of the coach house that was dismantled for this purpose, with the unhitching yard that lies between them, plus a glass hall that has been integrated as a connecting structure.
Available to guests in the 1,500 m² Schlosstherme – the thermal baths – are 10 treatment rooms, a hamam, three saunas and a snow chamber, as well as a swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) with a total length of 20 metres. A café, a fitness room and a relaxation room in the glassed-in courtyard round out the facilities.
