Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus Spandau
Stadtrandstraße 555, Berlin, Germany
On the campus of the Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus in Berlin Spandau, a simple existing building from the 1970s was converted into a modern surgical center. This is intended to take account of changes in the health system and relieve the inpatient operating area. The design is designed to ensure the hospital's future viability even under changing medical conditions. The outpatient operating centre has two fully equipped operating theatres and an operating theatre, which can be retrofitted as an additional 3rd surgery room if required. Targeted ceiling openings create generous two-storey room volumes in the entrance hall and in the preparation room.
