Back to 70ies
An office house from the 70ies situated inside the Anlagenring of Frankfurt am Main was successfully refurbished by the architectural firm .bieker AG. The building is a typical representative of its time boasting a façade of concrete prefabricated parts with rounded corners and window embrasures. It stands off-center from the road, hidden behind a row of trees, on a corner plot at the junction of Krögerstraße. Since the refurbishment, the L-formed layout with a central entrance offers 5.000 sq.m of office space. The new occupier required single and double offices that have direct access to archive space. The hall now divides the two sides asymmetrically into offices with different depths. The archives are alongside the halls in the rear areas. Further archives were placed in the back of the entry, as the new occupier doesn’t require a large entrance. Housing services and façade were repaired with the façade remaining intact as it was. This reduced building costs while keeping a gem of the 70ies alive.
