Ars Botanica
Castello di Miramare, Italy
The library of Miramare Castle in Trieste reveals for the first time its treasure trove of books dedicated to botany, flowers, plants, and gardens that reveal the interests and knowledge of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg and Charlotte of Belgium. The garden that surrounds the castle is a reflection of the collection, which is itself a garden on paper. A refined exhibition itinerary with a strong visual impact leads visitors along paths of dreams and beauty conceived in the mid-19th century.
