A Home for Eleonora
Museo Civico di Asolo, Italy
The eclectic and multifaceted figure of Eleonora Duse is narrated through her relationship with the city of Asolo, following a path designed to reflect her dual nature as both woman and actress. The intention to highlight the continuity between the artist’s private and professional life takes shape in an exhibition conceived as a “room within a room,” evoking at once her Asolo home and the backstage world of the theatre. Through a thematic organization of the collection and a strong technological component, the story of a life spent perpetually on the move unfolds in an engaging and interactive way. Spatial and narrative connections are created between the exhibition’s thematic clusters and the visitor, allowing the presence and memory of the divine Eleonora Duse to resonate throughout the room.
