JSWD Architekten

JSWD is an architecture firm that was founded in Cologne in 2000. Futher locations were situated in Berlin, Vienna and Tampa, Florida, USA. Today the two founders Olaf Drehsen and Frederik Jaspert along with partners Christian Mammel, Mario Pirwitz and Tobias Unterberg lead a team of around 240 employees from more than 30 countries.

With over 60 buildings completed in Germany and Europe, JSWD’s portfolio boasts a wide range of projects: from cultural and event buildings to residential buildings, offices, and schools, from healthcare buildings all the way to the conversion and repurposing of existing structures. As an architect and urban planner, we demonstrate our passion for material and design and take re-sponsibility for sustainable planning. Starting from the initial idea, we are responsible for the suc-cess of every project, and as a general planner, we guide each one all the way to the final hando-ver.

Working with a limited number of clearly defined elements, JSWD establishes unambiguous hierar-chies within its buildings and open spaces. The identity of each design evolves organically from the unique characteristics of the specific location as well as the need to reflect the client’s image in the architecture itself.
