Breezé Tower

 Back to Projects list
Location
Year
2008

The Sankei Building Corporation, the client for this 177-metre tall high-rise building, is a subsidiary of the Fuji Broadcasting Company of Japan. The building on National Road No. 2 in the Umeda business district of Osaka replaces a building from the 1950s.

The floor plan allows for a highly flexible usage. A nine-storey podium, with a large concert and event hall for 960 people, restaurants and conference rooms, along with a shopping mall, creates an important new pedestrian connection in Umeda.

The Breezé Tower is the first environmentally-friendly skyscraper in Japan with a double-skin glass façade that allows for natural ventilation of the interiors. Qualified as “S-Class“ according to the Japanese CASBEE system, the Breezé Tower has received the highest possible rating for ecological architecture in Japan.
