The comprehensive renovation of the Konvikt building at the Graubünden Cantonal School has brought this architectural gem of Chur’s post-war modernism into the present day. The building is considered a significant testament to the sculptural style of this era: its sculptural exposed concrete form, its precise response to the topography, and its conception of light and proportion—influenced by Le Corbusier—continue to define its architectural relevance to this day.

With the installation of Griesser Aluflex® external venetian blinds, the Konvikt received a sunshade system that precisely supports this architectural logic. The solution enables precise control of daylight, echoes the vertical facade structure, and simultaneously improves both visual and thermal comfort in the living and learning spaces.
