Architecture, to us, is the challenge of uniting functionality and sensuality with quiet confidence.
Simplicity, the reduction to essentials, and a constantly sharpened perspective—these are the means by which we generate tension between the everyday, the familiar, and the evolving needs of our time. We find joy in rediscovering the known in new ways, in gently stimulating the senses and the soul alike.
CAMA A is an architectural practice focused on both the big picture and the smallest detail.
Founded in 2011 by Marc Hensel, CAMA A has been planning and realizing projects of varying scale for over 15 years. We rely on a proven network of architects, engineers, and specialized contractors, enabling us to tackle complex tasks efficiently as a team.
Marc Hensel began his professional journey with a classical apprenticeship as a draftsman, followed by years of collaboration with Professor Josef Paul Kleihues and other architectural offices. He studied architecture at Hochschule Bremen, the Berlin University of the Arts (UDK), and Beuth University of Applied Sciences, completing his degree in 2000 under Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Schäche and Prof. Klaus Lattermann.
As a project manager at Kleihues + Kleihues Architects, he contributed to numerous competitions and projects, gaining extensive experience in project development, design, and execution planning—including the coordination and integration of specialist planning services. Driven by the ambition to realize his own architectural visions, he founded his own practice in 2011.
Marc Hensel is a registered freelance architect with the Berlin Chamber of Architects.
