The client has lived in this neighborhood for a long time, and the park on the south side of the house is a place of memories with their children.
The couple in their fifties had finished raising their children and wanted a two-family house for their future living with their sister who has a disability. Taking advantage of the relatively spacious site conditions, the building was designed as a one-story house, respecting each person's privacy while maintaining a sense of distance that would allow them to feel each other's presence.

Specifically, the entrance and Japanese-style room were placed as a common space, and from this location, the two spaces were arranged in a geese-path. The geese-path allows for a garden that connects to the park on the south side of the house, and both rooms have a view of this garden.

The master's study is also separated from the house, and the geese-run plan and the presence of the separation create a calm and spacious living space with a continuity between the outdoors and the indoors.

The gentle sense of distance created by the courtyard and the composition of the house allows for sight lines and breezes to flow through. We hope that this house will be a place where the family can spend a comfortable and rich time together.
