La Chapelle 1ère et 2ème étapes
Construction, in two phases, of 8 rental buildings and an underground parking; reinforced concrete structure, prefabricated sandwich façades, all resting on a raft foundation. These buildings have 5, 6, 7, and 8 floors respectively, and two of the buildings include commercial spaces.
Phase 1: Construction of 4 rental buildings, 2 of which also house commercial spaces; reinforced concrete structure, prefabricated sandwich façades, all resting on a raft foundation. Each building has an area of 800 m² and comprises 5, 6, 7, and 8 floors respectively. Each building features an interior patio also serving as a walkway. The patio is thermally and acoustically separated from the building, and all the concrete elements remain exposed.
Phase 2: Construction of 4 rental buildings and an underground parking; reinforced concrete structure, prefabricated sandwich façades, all resting on a raft foundation. This phase includes a dual challenge of cantilevered structures associated with prefabricated sandwich façades.
It was decided that the parking for the second phase, planned on two levels and 180 meters long, would be connected to the first-phase parking, allowing circulation between the two areas. Since the first parking structure was not designed to resist asymmetric earth pressures, a substantial temporarily supported Berlin wall had to be installed
