World-Architects is in Berlin for the three-day-long 2016 World Architecture Festival. Look for daily roundups, coverage of the keynotes and other special events, and the announcement of the Building of the Year in the coming days.
In the meantime, here are a few photographs of the WAF, which is being held at the Arena Berlin, designed by Franz Ahrens and completed in 1927 next to the river Spree.
The project presentations are held in crit "bubbles" scattered about the large Arena Berlin space.

Boards for all of the shortlisted projects are displayed around the main stage's inflated walls.
