This short film, edited by ViaViLi (Khaled Morgan and Elnaz Anzalchi), pieces together 20 clips of famous architects talking about architecture. It is a who's who of architects from the dawn of the television to our age of the Internet, spanning from the boastings of Frank Lloyd Wright to a silent Norman Foster zooming about in a helicopter.
In particular, it's interesting to watch the old clips, from a time when being filmed was something special, rather than a ubiquitous happening instantly shared with the world. ViaViLi ends the short film with the words "to be continued..." floating in the middle of the frame. We're definitely intrigued about what will be next.
*The list, in order of appearance: Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Louis Kahn, Philip Johnson, Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown, Richard Meier, Peter Eisenman, Frank Gehry, Oscar Niemeyer, Arata Isozaki, Rem Koolhaas, Toyo Ito, Jean Nouvel, Steven Holl, Lebbeus Woods, Zaha Hadid, Wang Shu, Renzo Piano, Daniel Libeskind, Norman Foster.
