Exhibition „Grenzerfahrungen_Grenservaringen: Jewish life between Rhine and Maas“
The town’s unused synagogue from the fifties became a museum. In doing so a long connecting hallway came into being: it shows authentic photos in a variety of differently aged frames and shows visitors the common path to the synagogue. The design creates proximity, anonymous people are given a face. Hebraic typography, fifties colours and vivid exhibits are the design elements in the synagogue itself. The hats indicate the number of men required for a service.
