Inditex Corporate Headquarters Service Building
Arteixo, A Coruña, Spanien
The project comprises a new service building adjacent to Inditex’s Headquarters and and the urbanization of the area. The programme is organised across clearly differentiated three volumes, linked by a longitudinal colonnaded strip that connects the entrances and ends in the two connecting walkways with the existing building.
The extension of the Headquarters, with 70,000 m² of built area, reorganises and brings coherence to the rest of the complex. The proposal extends existing connections through a “cloister-like” layout, reinterpreted with bridges that span the internal street, creating covered pedestrian routes protected from the rain.
The differentiated programme allows for an intuitive and comfortable order within a high-density complex. It accommodates five distinct functions: restaurant, auditorium, gym, IT offices, and covered parking. These are arranged across three separate buildings connected by a longitudinal colonnaded strip, which links the various entrances and terminates in the two walkways connecting the extension to the existing hall, ensuring fluid and comfortable circulation.
Firstly, near the main access, is the restaurant, distinguished by its skylight. Secondly, the auditorium and gym, with the gym’s volume notably rising above the surrounding roofline. Thirdly, the offices are housed in a prismatic block, combining an open-plan layout with a more compartmentalised zone that accommodates functions requiring smaller dimensions alongside circulation cores and service ducts.
