House in Nakameguro
Tokyo, Japan
The slide in this house isn’t just an object for play but rather an integral part of the structure’s circulation: residents climb to the top floor and slide down to the bottom floor. By conceiving of the slide in this way, the architects turn the project from a “house with a slide” to a “slide house” in which the structure as a whole becomes a plaything.
